Check out this video put together by the Teton Valley Chamber of Commerce.
While much of the mountain biking here consists of pedaling uphill or coasting down, there is amazing cycling for those willing to put in the effort. Be sure to check out Horeshoe Canyon and Mill Creek, but my favorite is Rick's Basin for a little more moderate up and down.
This is a fly fisherman's paradise. The big three are the South Fork, the Henry's Fork, and the Teton, but each has miles of amazing fishing. If you need a guide, be sure to call our friend Derek Hutton at Worldcast Anglers. If he can't take you, he will offer great advice.
Great hikes are available in every direction. some of our favorite include Table Mountain in Teton Canyon, Darby Canyon and the Aspen Trail on the Eastern Foothills, Pole Canyon, just to the south, and the west side of Pine Creek Pass up toward the Teton Crest Trail.
We are a rafting family, and this is a great place to go. Whether a slower paced trip down the South Fork of the Snake, a scenic tour through the park, or one of the whitewater sections south of Jackson Hole, you really can't go wrong. There is also great kayaking as well throughout the region.
I have climbed all over the Rocky Mountains, and it really doesn't get better than this. There are so many great routes, but if you are a beginner definitely consider one of the reputable guide agencies based in Jackson. Access to the high country from the Idaho side while possible is definitely a long approach, so this is something you probably want to initiate from inside the park.
This is a lovely way to spend a day - great views without all the work. There are several outfitters in the valley, though we would recommend Linn Canyon Ranch.
Not really our thing, but Teton Springs is supposed to be great and Huntsman Springs is truly a world class golf course, or so we're told.
Be sure to pick up the local paper to find out what is happening around town. Music on Main happens in the Victor Park on Main Street every Wednesday night throughout the summer. But there is almost always some festival happening either in Jackson or Teon Valley it seems.
The Bar J Chuckwagon takes you back to the spirit of the old west with a rib stickin’ meal and authentic cowboy entertainment, including songs, stories, comedy, yodeling, fiddling and more! Be sure to say hello to Tim Hodgson, the fiddle player and a friend.
The only active drive-in movie theatre with a digital projection system, it doesn't seem like summer without at least one trip to the Spud. They also host concerts and other events periodically.
